Sam Smith’s “Like I Can,” which rockets nineteen places to #47 this week, is one of six songs to make an inaugural appearance within the pop format’s Top 60.
The five other songs earn positions between #54 and #59.
The highest-charting of those five is BANKS’ “Beggin for Thread.” The song, which reached the Top 15 at alternative and Top 30 at hot adult contemporary, rises seven places to a new peak of #54 on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart.
“Beggin for Thread” received 335 spins during the May 24-30 tracking week. Enough to earn the song a Top 60 position, that count bests last week’s total by a modest 60 spins.
Also new to the Top 60 is Sage the Gemini’s “Good Thing (featuring Nick Jonas).” Spun 297 times during the May 24-30 tracking week, “Good Thing” rises twenty one places to #56 on the chart.
Up by 159 plays, this week’s spin count more than doubles that of the May 17-23 tracking week.
Bea Miller’s “Fire N Gold,” which is the follow-up to her debut single “Young Blood,” earns the #57 spot on this week’s chart. It was #62 last week.
The song’s weekly spin count of 295 bests last week’s by a modest 41.
Already a Top 15 hit at rhythmic radio, Tech N9ne’s “Hood Go Crazy (featuring 2 Chainz and BoB)” reaches #58 on this week’s pop chart.
Up seven places from last week’s position, it received 287 tracking week spins. Its week-over-week gain was 68.
Given that it was just released, the final addition to the Top 60 naturally enjoyed a significant week-over-week spin gain. MKTO’s “Bad Girls,” that song, rockets forty six places to #59 on this week’s chart. It received 281 tracking week spins (+226).
