Sawyer Fredericks’ “The Voice” Album Debuts with 11K Sales, Up 175% from Craig Wayne Boyd

The compilation album spanning Sawyer Fredericks’ successful eighth season “The Voice” journey was this past week’s eleventh-best selling new release.

According to Nielsen Music, Fredericks’ “The Complete Season 8 Collection” moved 10,956 copies during the May 18-24 tracking week.

While not the best opening week sales figure for a “The Voice” compilation, it comfortably tops that achieved by Craig Wayne Boyd’s “Complete Season 7 Collection.”

Released following his victory in December, CWB’s “The Voice” collection moved approximately 4,000 copies in its inaugural frame.

As his compilation lands on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart (at around #25), Fredericks will also have a presence on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. His original “Please” and cover of “Old Man” are both expected to make the chart.

Fredericks was last week named the eighth winner of NBC’s “The Voice.” Meghan Linsey placed second, while Joshua Davis and Koryn Hawthorne followed in third and fourth, respectively.
