Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up” Erupts as Country Radio’s Most Added; Chris Young Follows

Signposted by its strong debut on the country airplay chart — and by the fact that it’s the lead single from a new Luke Bryan album — “Kick the Dust Up” easily lands atop the weekly country radio add board.

According to Mediabase, “Kick the Dust Up” won adds from 105 monitored country stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact. Since ten stations actually added the song on the eve of its May 19 launch, “Kick the Dust Up” currently holds a confirmed Mediabase station count of 115.

While Luke Bryan’s new single was by far the week’s most added song, it was not the only track to receive a solid level of support.

Chris Young’s new “I’m Comin’ Over,” which moved an impressive 71,000 paid downloads in its first week of release, received adds from 39 stations this week. It ranks as country’s second-most added.

Jake Owen’s new “Real Life” follows with 27 adds, while Sam Hunt’s “House Party” (26) and Hunter Hayes’ “21” (25) rank as fourth- and fifth-most added, respectively.

Other notable country radio options: Lucy Angel’s “Crazy Too” (20 adds, 6th-most added), Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” (19 adds, 7th-most added), Randy Houser’s “We Went” (15 adds, 8th-most added), Brett Eldredge’s “Lose My Mind” (10 adds, 9th-most added, tie) and Lee Brice’s “That Don’t Sound Like You” (10 adds, 9th-most added, tie).
