Major Lazer’s “Lean On” Goes Top 40 at Pop; Rachel Platten, Shawn Mendes, Omarion Enter Top 50

Already a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Pop Songs airplay chart (and on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100), Major Lazer’s “Lean On (featuring DJ Snake & MØ)” this week reaches that portion of the corresponding Mediabase chart.

Spun 1,657 times during the May 17-23 tracking week, “Lean On” rises five places to a new peak of #37 on the Mediabase pop airplay chart.

Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (#14), Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” (#34) and Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” (#40) also reached that portion of the chart.

New additions to the weekly Top 50, meanwhile, include Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” (#44, +7, 1,070 spins), Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” (#47, +7, 937 spins) and Omarion’s “Post to Be (featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko)” (#50, +5, 667 spins).

Despite losing airplay this week, Jake Miller’s “Dazed & Confused (featuring Travie McCoy)” re-enters the Top 50 at #49. It was #53 last week despite receiving an extra 49 weekly spins (766 last week vs. 717 this week).
