Kenny Chesney’s “Wild Child,” Carrie Underwood’s “Little Toy Guns” Go Top 5 at Country Radio

The latest singles from two country hitmakers are officially in the Top 5 at country radio.

Kenny Chesney’s “Wild Child (with Grace Potter)” and Carrie Underwood’s “Little Toy Guns,” those songs, reach #4 and #5, respectively, on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

While Mediabase relies on a special scoring system to form its country airplay chart, the two songs would also hold those rankings on charts driven by airplay or audience. Chesney’s tune received ~6,965 spins (#4) and ~49.044 million audience impressions (#4) during the May 17-23 tracking week, while Underwood’s “Guns” earned ~5,997 spins (#5) and ~41.836 million impressions (#5).

Billy Currington’s “Don’t It” leads this week’s Mediabase country radio chart. A Thousand Horses’ #2 “Smoke” and Florida Georgia Line’s #3 “Sippin’ on Fire” form the balance of the Top 5.

Easton Corbin’s “Baby Be My Love Song” (#6), Tyler Farr’s “A Guy Walks Into a Bar” (#7), Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean It” (#8), Blake Shelton’s “Sangria” (#9) and Tim McGraw’s “Diamond Rings and Old Barstools (with Catherine Dunn)” appear inside the weekly top ten.
