Nick Fradiani’s “Beautiful Life” Debuted with 50,000 First Week Sales

In landing at #93 on the Billboard Hot 100, Nick Fradiani’s “Beautiful Life” precisely matched the debut point for Candice Glover’s “I Am Beautiful.”

Its opening week sales total, while not a precise match, was also very similar to that of the twelfth season “American Idol” coronation song.

According to Nielsen Music, Fradiani’s “Beautiful Life,” which is the fourteenth “Idol” victory song, moved approximately 50,000 copies in its slightly abbreviated first week of release. Glover’s season twelve victory single moved 48,000 copies in its first frame.

To Glover’s credit, her song launched later in the Monday-through-Sunday sales tracking week.

Fradiani first performed his song on Tuesday’s final season fourteen performance show. It was then spotlighted during Fradiani’s victory celebration at the end of the Wednesday night season finale.

The final season twelve performance and results shows aired on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

— “As Long as You Love Me,” released by season thirteen winner Caleb Johnson, did not chart on the Hot 100.
