The track that may ultimately rank as the biggest rhythmic radio hit of Taylor Swift’s career is this week’s most added song.
According to Mediabase, Swift’s new “Bad Blood” received adds from 28 monitored rhythmic stations this week. No other song received as much support this week.
Six previous Taylor Swift singles charted on the rhythmic radio airplay chart. Bolstered by Kendrick Lamar’s rapping, “Bad Blood” seems better suited for the format than any of those six.
But insofar as it is a “1989”-era Taylor Swift single, “Bad Blood” is thus far receiving its greatest love from hot adult contemporary and pop programmers. “Bad Blood” is hot adult contemporary’s most added song (62 adds) and pop radio’s second-most added song (94 adds).
As far as rhythmic goes, Sage the Gemini’s “Good Thing (featuring Nick Jonas)” ranks as 2nd-most added. It received 25 adds this week.
Like “Bad Blood,” “Good Thing” is being promoted by Republic.
Pia Mia’s “Do It Again,” which is iHeartRadio’s current “On the Verge” track, follows with 23 weekly adds. DJ Khaled’s “How Many Times (featuring Chris Brown, Big Sean and Lil Wayne)” (17 adds) and Miguel’s “Coffee” (14 adds) rank as fourth- and fifth-most added, respectively.
