Rihanna’s “BBHMM” Sales Near 500K; “American Oxygen” Approaching 50K

When the May 4-10 tracking week came to a close, the US sales total for Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” was within striking distance of 500,000.

According to Nielsen Music, the superstar’s rhythmic and urban single moved 37.1K copies during the aforementioned tracking week. That weekly tally brought the song’s cumulative mark to 483.1K.

Insofar as “BBHMM” is expected to sell at least 30,000 copies this week, it will have no trouble crossing the 500,000 mark. Formal confirmation of that achievement will come next week.

— The cumulative sales total for pop single “American Oxygen” is less than one-tenth of that for “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

Thanks to a weekly total of 7.9K, the cumulative sales mark for “AO” hit 46.8K when the May 4-10 tracking week came to a close.

— “FourFiveSeconds,” which jointly credits Kanye West and Paul McCartney and was the first single released in support of Rihanna’s forthcoming project, is nearing the 1.8 million sales mark in the US.
