Sales: Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song,” Tori Kelly’s Nobody Love” Rise After RDMA

Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” this week rises to #50 on the all-encompassing Hot 100, and its surging sales play a big role in facilitating that jump.

According to Nielsen Music, the song moved 54,000 copies in the tracking week ending May 3. Up 47% from the previous week’s total, it brings “Fight Song” to a new peak of #22 on the Digital Songs subchart.

While soaring momentum, buzz and hot adult contemporary airplay undoubtedly contributed to that gain, exposure during the April 26 Radio Disney Music Awards broadcast also helped. Platten performed during the Heroes for Change segment.

— Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love,” which received an acoustic spotlight during the RDMA, also enjoyed a week-over-week sales gain.

Even though the song’s radio presence is fading, the song managed to sell 42,000 weekly paid downloads during the April 27-May 3 tracking week. Up 43% from the previous week’s total, it earns “Nobody Love” a peak of #27 on the Digital Songs subchart.

In conjunction with that Digital Songs rise, “Nobody Love” vaults to a peak of #60 on the all-encompassing Hot 100.

— Up to #30 on Digital Songs and #53 on the Hot 100, Sheppard’s “Geronimo” also hit new peaks following the Radio Disney Music Awards.
