Little Big Town, Faith Hill Performing at Billboard Awards; “Girl Crush” Adds 109.7K Sales

One of music’s most bankable live acts is set to perform on another awards show.

After stealing the show at the April 19 Academy of Country Music Awards, Little Big Town is now scheduled to perform at the May 17 Billboard Music Awards.

While the foursome will again perform “Girl Crush,” it will add a different element to the mix this time. Country superstar Faith Hill will accompany Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild on lead vocals.

News of the Billboard performance comes following the song’s biggest sales week yet. According to Nielsen Music, “Girl Crush” moved 109,688 copies during the week following the ACM Awards (April 20-26).

The tally, which brings the song’s cumulative US sales total to 631,599, was the best weekly mark for a country song in 2015.

It was Little Big Town’s second straight week achieving that distinction.

Cut from the group’s “Pain Killer,” “Girl Crush” has been officially certified gold under the RIAA Digital Singles program.
