Kerry Washington Set to Appear on NBC’s “The Tonight Show”

Kerry Washington is returning to NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

The network confirms that the Emmy-nominated “Scandal” star will appear as the lead interview guest on May 6. “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and musical guest Noel Gallagher are also confirmed for the episode.

The May 6 “Tonight Show” airs on what would have been the eve of the “Scandal” season finale. Insofar as this week’s “Scandal” has been pre-empted to accommodate a two-hour “Grey’s Anatomy,” May 7 will now play host to the penultimate season four “Scandal” episode. The finale will air on May 14.

Other upcoming “Tonight Show” guests include Jack Black and Sofia Vergara.

NBC’s latest listings follow (note: the listings for Thursday, May 7 were tentative at press time):

Monday, May 4 – Jack Black, Melisa Rivers, Jeff Garlin
Tuesday, May 5 – Sofia Vergara, James Marsden, Musical guest Fetty Wap with The Roots
Wednesday, May 6 – Kerry Washington, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Musical guest Noel Gallagher
Thursday, May 7 (tentative) – Jane Fonda, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Musical guest The Vaccines; Jeff Bradshaw sits in with The Roots
