Nicki Minaj’s “The Night is Still Young” Also Ranks as Rhythmic’s Most Added

Not simply an attractive option for pop programmers, Nicki Minaj’s “The Night is Still Young” also resonated at the rhythmic format.

According to Mediabase, “Night” won support from 30 monitored rhythmic stations this week. It easily ranks as the format’s most added song.

Whereas Minaj’s “The Pinkprint” has yet to produce a Top 20 pop radio single, it has set a high bar at the rhythmic format. Single “Truffle Butter (featuring Drake and Lil Wayne),” which preceded “The Night is Still Young,” reached #1 at rhythmic radio.

Other popular options for rhythmic programmers this week included Game’s “Ryda (featuring DeJ Loaf)” (14 adds, 2nd-most added), Machine Gun Kelly’s “A Little More” (12 adds, 3rd-most added), Alyxx Dione’s “Chingalinga (featuring Jason Derulo)” (9 adds, 4th-most added) and Chedda Da Connect’s “Flicka Da Wrist” (8 adds, 5th-most added).
