Update: When the weekly “The Voice” voting deadline arrived, two of Monday’s songs were positioned in the top ten on iTunes’ all-genre single sales chart.
Sawyer Fredericks’ “Simple Man” (#2) and Joshua Davis’ “Fields of Gold” (#4), those songs, thus earn iTunes multiplier bonuses. Per the official rules, “The Voice” will apply a 10x multiplier to each song’s vote (sales) total when calculating the daily results.
Kimberly Nichole’s “Creep” spent much of the voting period on the cusp of the top ten, but it could not make the final leap. It held the #12 spot when the Top 8 vote closed.
Here is how the night’s eight performance numbers were positioned at the 12PM ET voting deadline:
2) Sawyer Fredericks – Team Pharrell – Simple Man
4) Joshua Davis – Team Adam – Fields of Gold
12) Kimberly Nichole – Team Christina – Creep
21) Corey Kent White – Team Blake – When I See You Smile
26) Meghan Linsey – Team Blake – Something
29) India Carney – Team Christina – Over the Rainbow
35) Koryn Hawthorne – Team Pharrell – Girl on Fire
40) Hannah Kirby – Team Blake – We Don’t Need Another Hero

Update: By 3:50AM ET, Joshua Davis’ “Fields of Gold” had reached #10 on the iTunes single sales chart. Sawyer Fredericks’ “Simple Man,” meanwhile, remained at its #2 peak.
If the two “The Voice” songs can retain their top ten positions through the 12PM ET voting deadline, they will secure 10x multiplier bonuses.
Also working toward one of those bonuses is Kimberly Nichole’s “Creep.” As of press time, it was #13 on the all-genre chart.
The remainder of Monday’s performances are positioned as follows:
27) Corey Kent White – Team Blake – When I See You Smile
30) India Carney – Team Christina – Over the Rainbow
32) Meghan Linsey – Team Blake – Something
43) Koryn Hawthorne – Team Pharrell – Girl on Fire
45) Hannah Kirby – Team Blake – We Don’t Need Another Hero
==========
Another week, another trip to the iTunes Top 10 for Team Pharrell’s Sawyer Fredericks.
When the west coast broadcast of Monday night’s “The Voice” came to a close, the contestant’s “Simple Man” was already up to #2 on the all-genre iTunes single sales chart. If it can retain its top ten position through the 12PM ET voting deadline–and it clearly will–it will secure a 10x multiplier bonus.
That bonus will be applied to the song’s iTunes vote (sales) count.
While Fredericks’ recording is presently the only one in the top ten, two other “The Voice” tracks are nearing that portion of the chart.
Closest is Joshua Davis’ “Fields of Gold.” Indicative of the extent to which the Team Adam contestant rebounded from last week’s trip to the bottom three, the performance is already #11 on the all-genre chart. It seems like a very safe bet to reach the top ten by the close of voting.
Kimberly Nichole’s “Creep” also remains in the race for a bonus. The Team Christina contestant’s take on the Radiohead classic is up to #14 on the chart.
While no other recording is within striking distance of the top ten, all are charting respectably. At 1:15AM ET, the top eight contestants’ recordings were positioned as follows:
2) Sawyer Fredericks – Team Pharrell – Simple Man
11) Joshua Davis – Team Adam – Fields of Gold
14) Kimberly Nichole – Team Christina – Creep
28) Corey Kent White – Team Blake – When I See You Smile
32) India Carney – Team Christina – Over the Rainbow
36) Meghan Linsey – Team Blake – Something
44) Koryn Hawthorne – Team Pharrell – Girl on Fire
48) Hannah Kirby – Team Blake – We Don’t Need Another Hero
