Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” Stays #1 at Pop; Nick Jonas’ “Chains” Goes Top 10

Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” is expected to soon come under fire from The Weeknd’s #3 “Earned It,” but the imminence of that threat did not emerge this week.

As a result, “Love Me Like You Do” remains the week’s #1 song at pop radio.

Mediabase’s official airplay chart confirms a weekly spin count of approximately 18,502. Up slightly from last week’s total, the mark keeps “Love Me Like You Do” at the pop chart’s summit.

Maroon 5’s former #1 “Sugar” holds at #2 thanks to the ~16,704 spins it received during the April 19-25 tracking week, while the aforementioned “Earned It” (#3, ~16,036), Natalie La Rose’s “Somebody (featuring Jeremih)” (#4, ~15,893) and Taylor Swift’s “Style” (#5, ~12,095) complete the top five.

While that top five includes some positional shuffling (“Earned It” leapfrogs both “Style” and “Somebody”), it does not feature any new entries.

There is, however, a new addition to the weekly top ten. Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” which received approximately 9,946 tracking week spins, grabs the #10 spot this week. It follows the chart-topping “Jealous” as Jonas’ second top ten hit.
