Hot 100: Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” Goes Top 25; Meghan Linsey is “Bubbling Under”

2015’s biggest sales week for a country song powers Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” to a new peak on the Hot 100.

Responsible for nearly 98,000 paid downloads during the tracking week ending April 19, “Girl Crush” soars twenty one places to a new peak of #25 on the all-encompassing Hot 100.

It meanwhile rises to a high of #7 (+22) on the Digital Songs subchart as the week’s greatest sales gainer.

While it does not appear on either the Streaming Songs or Radio Songs subcharts, it is surely gaining traction in both categories. That does translate into Hot 100 chart points.

— Little Big Town’s version of “Girl Crush” is not the only one making waves on the charts this week. Meghan Linsey’s “The Voice” cover, which actually served to drive some of the aforementioned sales increase for Little Big Town’s version, debuts at #1 on this week’s “Bubbling Under Hot 100” chart.

That chart lists the top songs that have yet to appear on the actual Hot 100.

Linsey’s version, which sold approximately 44,000 copies during the tracking week, appears at #28 on Digital Songs.
