Tuesday’s “Inside Amy Schumer” was by far the lowest-rated and least-watched of the series’ three season premieres.
Airing in the aftermath of Schumer’s MTV Movie Awards hosting gig and amid news that it had already been renewed for a fourth season, the third season premiere of “Inside” posted a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating with 1.009 million viewers.
Both numbers were down sharply from those of the season two premiere, which scored a 0.8 rating with 1.333 million viewers on April 1, 2014.
The April 20, 2013 first season premiere drew a 0.9 rating with 1.560 million viewers.
Worth noting: The previous two “Schumer” premieres received markedly stronger lead-in support from 10PM Comedy Central flagship “Tosh.0.” This week’s “Tosh” drew a mere 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.149 million viewers.
The “Tosh.0” that aired prior to the second season “Inside Amy Schumer” premiere drew a 1.0 with 1.544 million viewers. The “Tosh” that led into the 2013 season premiere posted a 1.6 with 2.411 million.
