Blake Shelton’s “Sangria” Ranks as Country Radio’s Most Added Song; Aldean Follows

Updated: Blake Shelton’s “Sangria” predictably ranks as country radio’s most added song this week. It scored pickups from 69 monitored Mediabase stations in conjunction with its official impact.

With “Sangria,” Shelton aims to score his fifteenth straight country radio #1 (and 20th overall).

Other popular options this week included Jason Aldean’s “Tonight Looks Good on You” (2nd-most added, 23 adds), Brothers Osborne’s “Stay a Little Longer” (3rd-most added, tie, 13 adds), Chase Bryant’s “Little Bit of You” (3rd-most added, tie, 13 adds) and Jana Kramer’s “I Got the Boy” (5th-most added, 12 adds).

Let us be realistic: the moment Warner Nashville confirmed an April 6 impact for Blake Shelton’s “Sangria” is the moment the label assured the song would rank as the corresponding week’s most added song.

Sure enough, Mediabase reveals that Shelton’s new single claims the top spot on the weekly country radio add board.

The third single from Shelton’s “Bringing Back the Sunshine” received 69 monitored adds in conjunction with its official impact.

The predictably stellar start establishes a great support base for “Sangria,” which aims to become Shelton’s 15th straight country radio #1.

A more detailed add report will be published Monday evening.
