Over the past few months, a perusal of a music blog or message board would have almost certainly turned up the name “Years & Years.” A conversation with an “in the know” pop music fan would have almost certainly done the same.

Thursday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the act that has spurred so much buzz.

Years & Years appears as the evening’s musical guest. It is the electro-pop trio’s first appearance on late night television in the United States.

Taped Thursday, the eagerly anticipated performance comes as the act gears to send its #1 UK hit “King” to US pop radio. According to Interscope, that radio impact is scheduled for April 21.

Collectively, this performance and the radio push will serve to build excitement for the June 22 release of debut studio album “Communion.”
