Last week’s uptick was unfortunately not the beginning of a trend for ABC’s “Secrets and Lies.” This week’s episode suffered a week-over-week drop.
Barring an adjustment in the final ratings report, that drop produced new series lows for the freshman ABC drama.
Per fast national data, Sunday’s “Secrets and Lies” drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 5.11 million viewers. Both would represent lows for the series, which previously hit a bottom with the March 15 broadcast. That installment drew a 1.4 rating with 5.45 million viewers.
While it might end up registering as a series low, this week’s performance was not dramatically worse than last week’s showing. That episode scored a 1.5 with 5.56 million and did not face competition from the season finale of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” or NBC’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The fact that a modest decline could produce a series low speaks to the consistency “Secrets and Lies” has demonstrated since its March 1 premiere.
— ABC’s other Sunday programs also fell this week. Direct lead-in “Once Upon a Time” drew a reduced 1.7 with 5.39 million viewers (down from last week’s 1.9 with 5.79 million) at 8PM, while lead-out “Revenge” posted a 1.0 with 4.28 million viewers (down from last week’s 1.1 with 4.42 million).
