Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” Surges to #31 at Pop Radio

The third single from Meghan Trainor’s “Title” reaches the top 40–and then some–on this week’s official Mediabase pop airplay chart.

“Dear Future Husband” soars to #31 on this week’s edition of the chart. Up thirteen places from last week’s position, it received 1,962 plays during the March 22-28 tracking week.

Destined to be a multi-format success, the follow-up to Trainor’s smash “Lips are Movin” is also making noise at hot adult contemporary radio.

Spun 269 times during the aforementioned tracking week, “DFH” rises to #43 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart. If it keeps up its current rate of growth, it could reach that format’s Top 40 by the end of this coming week.

“Dear Future Husband” earns its Top 40 pop placement and Top 50 Hot AC placement days after reaching a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100. Benefiting from its surging airplay, solid sales and ample music video streams, “Husband” now sits at #47 on the all-encompassing Hot 100.

In addition to scoring a Top 5 pop hit with “Lips are Movin,” Trainor scored a pop radio #1 with debut single “All About That Bass.”

— Two other songs jump into the pop radio Top 40 this week. DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It” rises seven places to #35. Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good,” meanwhile, rises one place to #40.
