Ratings: ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” Surges for “A” Reveal

While it did not lift “Pretty Little Liars” to a season, let alone series, high in total viewership, Tuesday’s eagerly anticipated “A” reveal did spur a huge week-over-week gain.

It also powered “PLL” to season high marks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics.

Tuesday’s season five finale drew a 1.27 adults 18-49 rating with 2.65 million viewers. While the latter number trails the 2.72 million viewership mark achieved by the June 10, 2014 season five premiere, the former number was the highest delivered by a fifth season “PLL” episode.

The episode’s strong 3.43 females 12-34 and 1.74 adults 18-34 numbers also represented season highs.

All numbers were up from those of the previous episode, which posted a 0.86 adults 18-49 rating, a 2.17 females 12-34 rating, a 1.25 adults 18-34 rating and a 1.70 million viewership average.

An ABC Family press release notes that this week’s episode also posted season highs in viewers 12-34 (1.9 rating) and women 18-34 (3.1 rating).

Tuesday’s episode, which brought an end to the fifth season, confirmed Charles as “A.”
