Hot 100: Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down,” Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” Hit Top 10

The latest single from Sam Smith’s “In the Lonely Hour” is officially a top ten hit.

Thanks to the immense sales interest in a Red Nose Day remix featuring John Legend (the different versions combined for a weekly sales total of 157,000; that bests the previous tracking week’s mark by 472%), Smith’s “Lay Me Down” rockets fifty places to a new peak of #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Previous “In the Lonely Hour” singles “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One” went as high as #2 and #5, respectively.

Smith also reached the top ten as a featured artist on Disclosure’s “Latch.” That track peaked at #7.

— Also new to the weekly top ten is Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.” The buzzworthy track, which received nearly 10 million weekly streams in the United States, rises two places to a new high of #10 on the all-encompassing Billboard chart.
