Update: Taylor Swift’s “Style” will Sunday evening be crowned the new number one song at pop radio.

The song, which is the third single from Swift’s “1989,” received approximately 18,252 spins during the official March 8-14 tracking week. Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which ascended to #1 last week, earns this week’s runner-up slot on the strength of its 17,918 weekly spins.

“Style” becomes the third straight pop radio number one from “1989” and Swift’s seventh such chart-topper overall.

When it comes to pop radio, Taylor Swift’s “1989” is about to improve its success rate to three-for-three.

“Style,” the latest single from Swift’s blockbuster album, is poised to officially claim #1 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

It already holds the top spot on the rolling listing.

The recipient of 18,158 spins, “Style” was pop radio’s most played song during the March 7-13 tracking week. Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which ascended to #1 on last week’s official airplay chart, received 18,114 spins within the same 3/7-13 window.

If “Style” can hold onto its lead through Sunday’s official update–and indications suggest it will actually expand that lead–it will formally become pop’s #1 song.

Previous “1989” singles “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space” also reached the apex of the Mediabase pop airplay chart. Prior to releasing the album, Swift reached #1 at pop with “Love Story,” “You Belong with Me” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

— A multi-format hit, “Style” is currently the 4th-most played song at hot adult contemporary, the 15th-most played song at adult contemporary and the 27th-most played song at rhythmic. It ranks at #6 on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100.
