Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” to Claim #1 at Three Radio Formats

Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” is enjoying its eighth-straight week at #1 on the Hot 100. It does not require any further demonstration of its dominance.

It will provide it anyway.

“Uptown Funk” will this week claim #1 on three official Mediabase airplay charts.

In addition to retaining its multi-week crowns on pop and rhythmic, the song will also vault to #1 on the official hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Already the most played song at the format, “Uptown Funk” will formally dethrone Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” when the official Mediabase chart is published Sunday evening.

Other top five pop songs: Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” (#2), Taylor Swift’s “Style” (#3), Pitbull’s “Time of Our Lives (featuring Ne-Yo)” (#4), Maroon 5’s “Sugar”

Other top five rhythmic songs: Pitbull’s “Time of Our Lives (featuring Ne-Yo)” (#2), Ne-Yo’s “She Knows (featuring Juicy J)” (#3), Nicki Minaj’s “Truffle Butter (featuring Drake and Lil Wayne)” (#4) and Chris Brown & Tyga’s “Ayo” (#5).

Other top five Hot AC songs: Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” (#2), Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin” (#3), Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” (#4), Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” (#5)
