Make that three in a row for Thomas Rhett, whose “Make Me Wanna” has been officially named the #1 song at country radio.
Following in the footsteps of “It Goes Like This” and “Get Me Some of That,” “Make Me Wanna” grabs the top spot on this week’s Mediabase country radio chart.
Not simply the leader when it comes to Mediabase chart points, “Make Me Wanna” ranks as the week’s most-played and most-heard country song. It received a format-leading 7,777 spins and 60.90 million audience impressions during the February 15-21 tracking week.
Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight (featuring Ashley Monroe),” which reaches the runner-up position this week, earned 7,479 plays and 56.94 million impressions during that period.
While the panels are not identical, “Make Me Wanna”‘s comfortable lead in Mediabase impressions foretells a likely #1 finish on the audience-driven Billboard Country Airplay chart. That chart’s leader will be crowned Monday evening.
Other top five Mediabase country songs this week: Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy” (#3), Jason Aldean’s “Just Gettin’ Started” (#4) and Brett Eldredge’s “Mean to Me” (#5).
