That Life of Dillon’s “Overload” did not receive an extensive hype campaign in advance of this week’s radio impact proved insignificant. Radio programmers still offered the song a very warm welcome.
According to Mediabase, “Overload” ranks as the week’s most-added song at hot adult contemporary radio. The track, which is being promoted by Epic, received adds from 19 monitored stations.
While its margin of victory was not massive–Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good,” which is the week’s second-most-added track, received 18 adds–it is undeniable. “Overload” got off to an impressive start.
And the favorable reception was not limited to the hot adult contemporary format. With 33 monitored adds, “Overload” ranks as pop radio’s second-most-added song this week.
As far as Hot AC goes, songs that join “Overload” and “Honey, I’m Good” at the top of the add board include Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” (3rd-most-added, 13 adds), Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” (3rd-most-added, 13 adds), Nickelback’s “She Keeps Me Up” (3rd-most-added, 13 adds), Young Rising Sons’ “High” (6th-most-added, 12 adds), Echosmith’s “Bright” (7th-most-added, 11 adds), Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” (8th-most-added, 10 adds), Mat Kearney’s “Billion” (9th-most-added, 8 adds) and Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (9th-most-added, 8 adds).
