Grammys: Beyonce & Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love” Wins Best R&B Song

Its omission from the general field categories surprised many critics. Those critics will not, however, be forced to complain about its lack of success at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Beyonce & Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love” earned the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. It beat out “Good Kisser,” “New Flame,” “The Worst” and “Options” for the trophy.

The songwriters recognized as victors include Shawn Carter, Rasool Diaz, Noel Fisher, Jerome Harmon, Beyoncé Knowles, Timothy Mosely, Andre Eric Proctor and Brian Soko.

Beyonce had earlier won an award for Best Surround Sound Album.

Other R&B category winners included Pharrell’s “G I R L” for Best Urban Contemporary Album, Robert Glasper Experiment’s “Jesus Children” for Best Traditional R&B Performance and Toni Braxton & Babyface’s “Love, Marriage and Divorce” for Best R&B Album.

The winner of the Best R&B Performance race, which includes the aforementioned “Drunk in Love” as a nominee, has yet to be revealed.
