Boosted by the highest-rated (overnight metered markets) Super Bowl telecast in history, Sunday’s special edition of NBC’s “The Blacklist” drew a strong 13.5 overnight household rating.
A clear series high for NBC’s drama, the rating was the strongest for a post-Super Bowl telecast since NBC’s own “The Voice” drew a monstrous 20.0 rating in 2012.
FOX last year scored a 12.4 for “New Girl,” which aired immediately out of the game and into “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
Two years ago, CBS’ “Elementary” delivered a 12.0.
The game itself averaged a colossal 49.2 overnight household rating, which bests the 48.1 drawn by the 2013 Super Bowl to register as the highest-rated game in history.
