While CBS and the Recording Academy have seemingly developed an allergy to issuing press releases about Grammy Awards performers, news of another confirmed duet has arrived.
Lady Gaga Tweeted that she and Tony Bennett will be performing a duet at the show. The two collaborated on 2014’s “Cheek to Cheek.”
“Me and @itstonybennett are so excited to announce we will be performing at #TheGrammys this year! Thank you to @TheGRAMMYs and our fans,” wrote Gaga.
The duet is one of several to have been announced in some capacity. Others expected to take place at the February 8 show include Common & John Legend (confirmed in an official press release), Jessie J & Tom Jones (announced on a CBS commercial, confirmed directly to Headline Planet), Hozier & Annie Lennox (announced on a CBS commercial) and Adam Levine & Gwen Stefani (announced on a CBS commercial).
Beyond Common and John Legend, other performers confirmed in formal press releases include AC/DC, Madonna, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande and Pharrell.
