Music superstar John Mayer will host the 2/4, 2/5 and 2/6 editions of CBS’ “The Late Late Show.”
The last of his episodes, which comes two nights before CBS broadcasts the Grammy Awards, will feature a performance by a fellow music sensation.
CBS confirmed that Ed Sheeran, who is a Grammy nominee and a confirmed Grammy performer, will appear as an interview and musical guest on the 2/6 “The Late Late Show.”
Logical given the timing, Sheeran’s appearance also makes sense in the context of praise Mayer has shared about the singer-songwriter. Last August, Mayer posted a pair of glowing Tweets about Sheeran’s ability.
“I’d like to sit and talk to someone for about an hour about how great @edsheeran was tonight…Hypertalent,” wrote Mayer, adding, “You could break @edsheeran’s talent into about six equal pieces and *still* have six very talented and successful artists.”
Other guests scheduled for the Mayer-hosted “Late Late Show” episodes include Andy Cohen (2/4) and Jim Carrey (2/5). CBS’ full “Late Late” listings follow:
