Ratings: “Saturday Night Live” Rises for Blake Shelton Episode

Blake Shelton’s debut appearance on “Saturday Night Live” brought positive news on the ratings front.

Saturday’s episode, which featured Shelton as host and musical guest, drew a 4.7 overnight household rating. Up 15% from the 4.1 drawn by last week’s Kevin Hart-Sia episode, the number represents the second-highest metered market household rating of the season.

Only the Chris Rock-Prince episode, which scored a 4.9 on November 1, fared better.

Shelton’s “SNL,” meanwhile, drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters. Last week’s episode delivered a 2.0 rating in that column.

Tied for third place this season, the 2.2 adults 18-49 rating was only topped by the 2.4 for the aforementioned Chris Rock-Prince episode and the 2.3 posted by the Woody Harrelson-Kendrick Lamar installment (11/15).
