In reaching #1 at pop radio, Tove Lo’s first official single “Habits (Stay High)” set an enormously high standard for her future releases.
A long journey separates the singer-songwriter’s new single “Talking Body” from meeting that standard. The song did, however, cross its first major checkpoint.
According to Friday’s rolling edition of the Mediabase pop airplay chart, “Talking Body” is now one of the format’s forty most-played songs.
The period’s 40th-most-played song, “Talking Body” commanded 789 spins between January 16 and 22. Its weekly audience impression count of 5.15 million is pop radio’s 37th-largest.
While it will not be officially declared a top 40 hit until the final weekly chart arrives Sunday evening, the song’s airplay level secures it a place on the pop radio radar.
“Talking Body” is a standout track from Tove Lo’s critically acclaimed debut album “Queen of the Clouds.”
