A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke” is Now One of Country’s 40 Most-Played Songs

Its iHeartRadio “On the Verge” boost is underway, and that means big gains are in store for A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke.”

And after reigning for two consecutive days as the country format’s greatest daily airplay gainer (and as the third-greatest weekly gainer), “Smoke” is now one of the Mediabase country panel’s forty most-played songs.

The recipient of 910 spins during the week between January 8 and 14, “Smoke” jumps to the #39 spot** on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling country airplay chart.

“Smoke” follows RaeLynn’s “God Made Girls” as the latest country track to receive the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” distinction. Other previous beneficiaries of the program, which provides guaranteed airplay on iHeartMedia stations, include Chase Bryant’s “Take it On Back,” Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On,” Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” and Craig Campbell’s “Keep Them Kisses Comin’.”

**”Smoke” is #39 on Mediabase’s point-based country radio chart. Its weekly spin count is actually the format’s 40th-largest.
