Zac Brown Band’s “Homegrown” Starts at #43 on Country Radio

Benefiting from hourly support on key iHeartMedia radio stations, Zac Brown Band’s new “Homegrown” received enough opening day airplay to register at #43 on Tuesday’s rolling Mediabase country airplay chart.

That chart measures the entire week between January 6 and 12.

While its first day airplay was not as significant as that offered to recent high-profile launches from Blake Shelton (984 spins for “Neon Light”), Florida Georgia Line (993 spins for “Dirt”), Jason Aldean (1,091 spins for “Burnin’ it Down”), Garth Brooks (1,585 spins for “People Loving People”) and Carrie Underwood (1,095 spins for “Something in the Water”), it did give the new song valuable early exposure.

Though also shy of the marks achieved by the other heavy-hitting releases, “Homegrown” did receive a healthy 6.62 million first-day audience impressions. Its audience count was the country format’s 35th-largest for the entire seven day tracking period.

On the strength of its buzz, first day airplay and ESPN college football tailgate exposure, “Homegrown” is currently #9 on iTunes’ all-genre single sales chart.
