A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke” Scores iHeartRadio “On the Verge” Boost

Successful country tracks like Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On,” Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” and RaeLynn’s “God Made Girls” owe significant credit to the help they received from iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program.

The program’s latest selection, which will receive guaranteed airplay on iHeartMedia’s national country radio stations, is A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke.”

“Michael Hobby is a passionate frontman whose vocal style underscores the gut-level commitment he makes to the music. Bill Satcher and Zach Brown add honest, blues-fueled guitars that layer sweat and soul on top, while bass player Graham Deloach drives a steady, firm foundation underneath it all,” says iHeart of the act’s members.

While “On the Verge” does not guarantee enough airplay to automatically thrust a song into the #1 spot, it does provide an enormous opportunity for tracks to connect with listeners and build momentum. Country industry observers definitely, therefore, want to take notice of “Smoke.”
