The absence of a “The Voice” had a predictably negative impact on NBC’s comedies “Marry Me” and “About a Boy.”
The Tuesday comedies, which instead aired out of a “Parks and Recreation” re-run (0.8 adults 18-49 rating, 2.52 million viewers from 8-9PM), drew series low numbers this week.
9PM freshman “Marry Me” drew a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 2.05 million viewers. 9:30PM entry “About a Boy” mirrored its lead-in’s 0.8 rating but drew a considerably greater viewership average of 2.66 million.
Both shows were down from their preceding editions. The previous “Marry Me,” which aired on December 10, drew a 1.2 rating with 4.64 million viewers out of “The Voice.” “About a Boy” followed with a 0.9 and 3.68 million.
NBC closed its night with “Chicago Fire” (1.7, 6.66 million).
