Update: The song is here! Listen to Zac Brown Band’s new single “Homegrown” now.
==========
Two months ago, confirmation came that Zac Brown Band would be performing at the tailgate for the national college football championship game.
This week, news came that the popular country act will be debuting a new song on the program.
It is called “Homegrown.”
Southern Ground Artists, Big Machine Label Group and John Varvatos Records jointly confirmed the new track in this week’s Country Aircheck magazine. That confirmation, which comes in the form of a full-page advertisement, reveals that the band will debut “Homegrown” during ESPN’s coverage of the January 12 College Football Playoff Championship Tailgate.
In conjunction with that bow, the song will be digitally serviced to radio stations for immediate airplay. It formally impacts the format on January 19.
“Homegrown” was most directly preceded by Zac Brown Band’s “All Alright,” which served to represent the act’s “The Grohl Sessions, Volume 1” at radio. Prior to that, ZBB scored a Billboard Country Airplay #1 with “Uncaged” track “Sweet Annie.”
