Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” is Now One of Pop’s 20 Most-Played

Over the past several weeks, airplay for Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” has begun to more precisely align with its buzz. The song’s surprisingly slow journey up the airplay chart has transformed into a rapid one.

That burst of growth has finally thrust “Ghost” into the upper half of the pop radio airplay picture.

According to Mediabase, Henderson’s breakthrough commanded 4,019 spins during the week between December 17 and 23. That ranks as the 20th-largest airplay total for the week.

Jeremih’s declining “Don’t Tell ‘Em (featuring YG),” which previously held the #20 slot, slips to #21 courtesy the 3,976 spins it received during the December 17-23 period.

“Ghost,” meanwhile, holds at #13 on the rolling hot adult contemporary airplay chart. Previously boosted at Hot AC courtesy iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program, “Ghost” received 2,726 spins at the format this past week.
