For Selena Gomez’ “The Heart Wants What it Wants,” 2014 is set to end on a very high note.
One of pop radio’s most notable airplay gainers over the past several weeks, “Heart” is now one of the format’s ten most-played songs.
According to Mediabase, the track commanded 8,712 spins during the seven days between December 16 and 22. That thrusts “The Heart Wants What it Wants” past Tove Lo’s declining “Habits (Stay High)” (8,586 spins) and into the #10 spot on the rolling pop radio airplay chart.
Gomez previously reached the top ten with “Love You Like a Love Song,” “Come and Get It” and “Slow Down.”
Other movement in the upper half of Mediabase’s latest rolling airplay chart:
— Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” rises to #3.
— James Newton Howard’s “The Hanging Tree (featuring Jennifer Lawrence)” is up to #18.
