Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean it” is One of Country’s 40 Most-Played

Update: Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean It” debuted at #36 on Mediabase’s official country radio airplay chart.

==========

Kelsea Ballerini is calling “Dibs” on a spot within the country radio top 40.

Her “Love Me Like You Mean It,” which label Black River Entertainment said was the “[most-added] debut single by a female artist in 2014” when it arrived at the format this September, is now #39 on the rolling Mediabase country airplay chart.

As long as it can hold that position through Sunday evening’s official update (measuring airplay between December 7 and 13), it will give Ballerini her first Top 40 country hit.

While “Love Me” ranked at #39 based on Mediabase chart points, it actually commanded the 36th-largest spin count during the week between December 6 and 12. The song received 1,149 plays during that period and was thus a more frequently spun record than Garth Brooks’ #38 “Mom” (934), Eric Paslay’s #37 “She Don’t Love You” (1,078) and Jerrod Niemann’s #36 “Buzz Back Girl” (1,128).

During that seven day window, Ballerini’s song scored 6.11 million impressions across the panel of stations monitored by Mediabase.

To be ruled by Tim McGraw’s “Shotgun Rider,” Mediabase’s official country radio airplay chart will be published Sunday night.
