Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight” is Country’s Most-Added, Rascal Flatts’ “Riot” Follows (Updated)

Update: Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight (featuring Ashley Monroe),” which had already established solid footing at country radio, ranks as this week’s most-added song. It scores new support from 28 monitored stations.

Rascal Flatts’ “Riot” follows as second-most-added with 24 pickups, while Chris Young’s “Lonely Eyes” and Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” grab third-most-added on the strength of 13 adds each. Billy Currington’s “Don’t,” Chuck Wicks’ “Saturday Afternoon” and Garth Brooks’ “Mom” then tie for fifth-most-added with 12 each.

For the second time over the course of its run, Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight (featuring Ashley Monroe)” claims the top spot o the country radio add board.

Previously named most-added on November 17, “Lonely Tonight” claims the honor this week courtesy the 28 monitored Mediabase adds it received. Already a top 25 hit at country radio, the song will leverage the new support in pursuit of its effort to continue Shelton’s streak of reaching #1 at the format.

Not since 2009 has Shelton failed to reach #1 with an official single.

A more detailed adds report is due Monday evening. Rascal Flatts’ “Riot” is expected to rank as the week’s second-most-added track.
