For the second time in her career, Selena Gomez holds a position in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.
Benefiting from high-profile American Music Awards exposure, Gomez’ “The Heart Wants it Wants” rockets fourteen places to #6. Her second top ten single to date, it ties previous smash “Come and Get It” as Gomez’ highest-charting song to date.
Also new to the top ten this week is Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars).” Benefiting from ample buzz and exposure on “Saturday Night Live,” “Funk” enjoys a ten place gain to #8.
Just outside the top ten is Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin.” The buzzworthy follow-up to 8-week #1 “All About That Bass,” which is still #2 on the chart, grabs the #13 position this week.
Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” rules the Hot 100 for a third consecutive week (a new career high for Swift), while Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” settles into #3.
Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” improves to #4, while Maroon 5’s “Animals” slips one spot to #5.
Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One” registers at #7, which gives it the edge over Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” (#9) and Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” (#10).
