Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” is Once Again Greatest Gainer at Pop, Hot AC

To be issued Sunday evening, Mediabase’s final weekly airplay report will feature slightly revised spin data.

The overall outcome will not, however, change from that reported in Sunday morning’s rolling chart. Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” will once again represent the greatest airplay gainer at the pop and hot adult contemporary formats.

Up to #5 at pop this week, Swift’s “Space” commanded 12,659 spins during the November 23-29 tracking period. That spin count is the product of a 2,353 week-over-week gain, which comfortably ranks as the pop format’s greatest.

Other hot gainers at pop this week include Nick Jonas’ #7 “Jealous” (11,770, +1,677), One Direction’s Top 30 single “Night Changes” (2,038, +1,121), Mark Ronson’s Top 25 single “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” (4,004, +1,118) and Selena Gomez’ Top 20 single “The Heart Wants What it Wants” (4,936, +1,109).

Swift’s new tune, meanwhile, rises to #7 at hot adult contemporary thanks to its weekly 4,182 spins. Its Hot AC gain of 1,017 is that format’s greatest.

Other great gainers at Hot AC include Ed Sheeran’s top 25 single “Thinking Out Loud” (1,424, +644), Sam Smith’s #6 “I’m Not the Only One” (4,520, +607), Hozier’s #9 “Take Me to Church” (3,766, +506) and Mr Probz’ top 25 single “Waves” (1,484, +313).
