Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” Goes Top 20 at Pop, Chris Brown, Jessie J Top 30

One of the most buzzworthy songs on the planet is now one of US pop radio’s twenty most-played tracks.

Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” rises to #17 on this week’s edition of the official Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. “Church” makes the six position gain on the strength of the 4,746 spins it received during the November 16-22 tracking period.

Despite losing plays this week, Gwen Stefani’s “Baby Don’t Lie” also manages to reach the Top 20. It earns the #20 spot (+1) thanks to 4,062 weekly spins.

Knocking on the door of the top twenty is Selena Gomez’ “The Heart Wants What it Wants.” The song, which was pop’s second-greatest airplay gainer this week, claims #21 (+8) on the strength of 3,827 weekly spins.

— David Guetta’s “Dangerous (featuring Sam Martin)” also reaches the top 25 — at #25.

— New top thirty entries this week include Chris Brown’s “New Flame (featuring Usher & Rick Ross)” (#29, 2,023 spins) and Jessie J’s “Burnin’ Up (featuring 2 Chainz)” (#30, 1,952 spins).
