Its growth is slowing, but Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” remains the song to beat at active rock radio.
The song repeats at #1 on Mediabase’s official active rock chart courtesy the 2,211 spins it received during the November 9-15 tracking period. That count also keeps it distantly in front of Five Finger Death Punch’s “Wrong Side of Heaven,” which is again in the runner-up position. It garnered 1,780 weekly spins.
Since “Something from Nothing” maintains a convincing advantage in audience impressions (6.71 million vs. 5.01 million), it should also repeat atop the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The leader of that audience-driven airplay chart will be crowned Monday.
Other top five singles on this week’s Mediabase chart include Slipknot’s “The Devil in I” (#3, 1,567 spins), Royal Blood’s “Figure it Out” (#4, 1,501 spins) and Seether’s “Same Damn Life” (#5, 1,379 spins).
