Ratings Update: How is Foo Fighters’ “Sonic Highways” Performing?

If one expected a premium cable network’s music documentary series to garner monster ratings in its Friday at 11PM timeslot, he is exposing himself as unfamiliar with the television industry.

HBO’s “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways” series has, however, found what appears to be a reasonably stable audience.

After premiering to a solid 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 584,000 viewers on October 17, 2014, the HBO has settled into more sustainable territory. Episode two drew a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating with 310,000 viewers on October 24, 2014, while the third installment posted a 0.2 with 369,000 viewers on Halloween night.

The fourth episode, which aired this Friday, delivered a 0.2 with 349,000 viewers.

The eight-part documentary series is a companion for Foo Fighters’ new album “Sonic Highways,” which arrived at retailers this week.
