Fergie’s “LA Love (la la)” Hits #20 at Pop, But Taylor Swift is Coming

The first nineteen positions on Thursday’s edition of the Mediabase rolling pop radio airplay chart feature the same occupants as Wednesday’s chart.

Change, however, occurs in the subsequent two positions.

The #20 position welcomes Fergie’s “LA Love (la la),” which received 4,049 spins during the October 30-November 5 tracking period.

An admirable position for Fergie’s comeback single, it is nonetheless not a permanent one. By tomorrow, Fergie’s track will have been knocked out of the top twenty by Taylor Swift’s surging “Blank Space.”

Courtesy the 3,958 spins it received during the aforementioned seven day period, “Space” climbs five positions to #21 on Thursday’s rolling chart. And insofar as its weekly spin total is increasing by an average of more than 400 each day, it will have no trouble blasting ahead of the Fergie song on Friday’s chart.

Over the past week, “LA Love (la la)” has added an average of only 61 to its spin total each day. On Wednesday, it added a mere 5.
