Calvin Harris’ “Blame” Goes Top 10 at Pop, Nick Jonas Officially Top 15

With Charli XCX’s former #1 “Boom Clap” on the rapid decline, a position opened up in this week’s official pop radio top ten.

Claiming that spot is Calvin Harris’ developing smash “Blame (featuring John Newman),” which rises to the #10 spot on the strength of 8,118 weekly spins.

The news comes via Mediabase, which Sunday evening revealed its official airplay breakdown for the October 12-18 tracking week.

Other key moves this week:

— Consistent with Headline Planet’s projection, Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” reaches #1 at the pop format this week. It dethrones Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off,” which spent a single week on top.

— Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em (featuring YG)” reaches a new high of #5. Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” (#6), Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t” (#7) and Echosmith’s “Cool Kids” (#9) also reach new peaks this week.

— Maroon 5’s “Animals” rockets to #11 on the strength of the week’s greatest airplay gain. It is on pace to reach the top ten by as early as this coming week.

— Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” (#13) and Mr Probz’ “Waves” (#15) surge into the Top 15 this week.

— Nico and Vinz’ “In Your Arms” enters the Top 25 at #24.

— Mary Lambert’s “Secrets” (#29, +2) and Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” (#30, +9) reach the Top 30 this week.

— Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” (#40, +11) is the lone top 40 entry.
