Ratings: “SNL” Down Slightly for Bill Hader, Hozier Episode

The good news? This week’s edition of “Saturday Night Live” was the top-rated network television telecast.

The bad news? Like its preceding 40th season episodes, it posted an unremarkable rating.

Saturday’s “SNL,” which featured host Bill Hader and musical guest Hozier, drew a 3.8 overnight metered market household rating. It posted a 1.8 adults 18-49 in the markets with Local People Meters.

Both numbers were down by 0.1 from those of last week’s Sarah Silverman-Maroon 5 episode. A week prior, “SNL” kicked off its 40th season with a Chris Pratt-Ariana Grande episode that also underperformed. It drew a 4.0 metered market household rating and a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating in the LPM markets.

NBC will rebroadcast the Pratt-Grande episode next week. On October 25, it will broadcast an original episode with host Jim Carrey and musical guest Iggy Azalea.
