Surely wishing it–not “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”–received relocation orders to FOX’s Sunday night comedy block, “New Girl” has no choice but to face the challenge of performing on Tuesday nights.
And insofar as its lead-in is the poorly rated “Utopia,” that challenge is the epitome of immense.
With a strong ratings performance out of the question, the fourth-year comedy can at least maintain a commitment to delivering from a creative standpoint. And after two solid, albeit flawed episodes, “New Girl” hopes to keep audiences laughing with “Julie Berkman’s Older Sister.”
Rob Reiner and Kaitlin Olson guest on the episode, which airs at 9PM ET on Tuesday, September 30.
“Jess’ dad ([returning] guest star Reiner) arrives with his new girlfriend, who happened to be Jess and Cece’s high-school rival (guest star Olson). Meanwhile, Schmidt recruits the guys to be part of a focus group at work to help him land a big new account in the all-new ‘Julie Berkman’s Older Sister’ episode of NEW GIRL,” says FOX of the fourth season’s third installment.
FOX shared behind-the-scenes production photos in advance of Tuesday’s telecast. Those follow:
